Qualifiying round to WJECh 2002 in Helsinki
A total of 29 countries tried to qualify for the 4th Women's Junior European Championships held in Helsinki, Finland on Teams were divided into eight groups of three or four teams. The winner of each group with the three runner-ups from groups 1, 2 and 3 qualified. The twelve qualifying countries will fight for the title of the European Champion in the final tournament.
